Custom dictionary
Add the words GLASS shouldn't flag as misspelled, such as character names, invented terms, and unusual spellings.
To add a word, right-click it where live proofreading has underlined it, in Draft or Review Mode, and choose Add to Dictionary. Or click Add to dictionary on a flagged word during the Spelling and Grammar check in Review Mode. GLASS stops flagging it straight away, both in the check and on the page.
- Added words are stored on this computer and apply to every document you open on it. They aren't saved in the document, so they don't travel with a file you send.
- Capital letters count. Adding Elara doesn't cover elara.
- The dictionary only affects spelling. Grammar issues are still flagged.
Remove words
- Open Preferences (Ctrl+, / ⌘,).
- Choose the Dictionary page. Every word you've added is listed in alphabetical order. Click the remove button beside a word (Undo brings it back), or Remove all to empty the list.
- Click Save. Nothing is removed until you do, and Cancel keeps every word.
