Edit Passes

An Edit Pass is a named container for a round of edits, like “Copy Edit” or “Chapters 1–5.” All your suggestions and comments live on the active pass.

Open the Edit Passes drawer.
Use the create form to name a new pass and start it. It becomes the active pass, shown as a brightened card.

Note

You need an active pass to make suggestions. Without one, Review is read-only and typing raises a nudge to start a pass.
