Formatting, structural & alignment suggestions

Beyond text, you can propose changes to formatting, prose structure, and paragraph alignment, each clearly shown in its own way.

• Formatting: select a range and press a mark shortcut (e.g. Ctrl+B / ⌘B). A neutral margin note like “Apply bold” appears, tied to the range by a connector.
• Structural: press Tab to propose a first-line indent, Shift+Tab / ⇧Tab to flush left, or Backspace at a paragraph start to propose merging it with the one above. These show as emerald proofreader's marks in the margin; the page text doesn't move until the change is accepted.
• Alignment: use the ribbon's alignment dropdown. This one applies live, so the page re-aligns, with an emerald glyph marking it as still a proposal.
